James Yurichuk, a Canadian of Ukrainian descent, founded the outerwear brand Wuxly after meeting one challenge: his girlfriend was freezing in Toronto.
Initially focused on ethical fashion, the brand changed direction after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Today, Wuxly produces uniforms and textiles for the military and develops smart clothing solutions.

Nikita Kravtsov is a Ukrainian artist working within the global underground scene, building his career outside the traditional gallery system. After the annexation of Crimea, he moved to Paris, where he gained recognition and developed his artistic language.
Since the start of the full-scale war, his practice has shifted toward anti-war statements, curatorial projects, and public works, including Ukraine-related murals.

spogad.brand is a Ukrainian sustainable fashion brand from Dnipro that creates jewelry and accessories from recycled plastic. Each piece reflects memories of Ukrainian cities and landscapes, including those affected by the war.
Founder Anastasiia Kondratieva has lived in France for 12 years, where she develops the brand and promotes Ukrainian products in the local market. Alongside Spogad, she works with entrepreneurs and teaches at business schools.

The 61st Venice Biennale, one of the world’s most important contemporary art forums, opened on May 9.
This year, Ukraine presents the “Security Guarantees” project, centered around Zhanna Kadyrova’s Origami Deer, created from the deer statue salvaged from Pokrovsk and evacuated from the frontline in 2024.
At the same time, this year’s Biennale is marked by controversy, including Russia’s return for the first time since 2022 and ongoing protests related to Israel and the United States.
