Because calculations are not regularly required it’s even more important to know what to do when the request for occupational rent does comes up.

It can be a significant element in the division of matrimonial assets.
Does one spouse benefit unfairly from their exclusive use of the matrimonial home? What do you do with these cases?

For accurate analysis of financial documents, it’s within the financial neutral’s purview to do the necessary calculations for negotiation purposes.

Liza Bakhshi graduated from Ontario Tech University in 2014 with a degree in and , earning Distinction. Ms. Bakhshi went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law in 2018.

Following the call to the bar in January 2020, Ms. Liza B. began her career at a boutique firm, practising exclusively in .

Since then, Ms. Bakhshi has worked at several prominent family law firms in downtown Toronto before joining Brauti Thorning LLP.
Ms. Bakhshi has practiced family law exclusively since 2020.

Ms. Bakhshi has extensive experience in all areas of family law, including representing clients at every stage of litigation before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal. Her practice also includes drafting and negotiating domestic contracts, mediation, arbitration, and resolving complex financial issues.
