Summer BBQ season is here! ☀️🌸
A fun way to get kids involved when you’re hosting family and friends is letting them help with the party prep.  Ellis had so much fun choosing the ingredients and helping arrange the board. We used ’s Kolbassa and paired it with fresh fruit, cheese and crackers.🌼🍓🧀
You can find Piller’s Kolbassa at select Sobeys locations and create your own summer snack board for BBQs, picnics, pool days, or family gatherings.
What’s a must-have on your charcuterie board? 👇☀️

Where are my durian lovers?  I made durian and dragonfruit soft serve ice cream with my Ninja Swirl CREAMi!  This is why I love this machine so much! I can make any combination of flavours I want!  You can create flavours you won’t find at any stores.  Once you try it, you can’t go back!  This isn’t ice cream, it’s CREAMi!

What two flavours would you combine? Let me know in the comments!

What an inspiring day at the summit! 💫

WORK IT Girl is all about helping girls build confidence, leadership skills, friendships, and a strong sense of self. Their mission is to create a space where girls can discover their strengths, use their voices, and learn that they are capable of amazing things.

Ellis was invited to join their panel and share her journey as a young cake artist. Watching her answer questions in front of a room full of girls was such a proud mom! ❤️

Ellis was also surrounded by some incredible young leaders:

✨ .lyla started her own slime business when she was just 8 years old and has turned her creativity into a business.

✨ is a youth literacy advocate, TV host, and passionate reader who encourages young people to find their voice through books and storytelling.

✨ is a singer, actress, and performer who uses her love of the arts to inspire confidence and creativity in young girls.

✨ Sariah and Ariella, founders of , are helping young people build confidence through entrepreneurship, leadership, and mentorship. Their message is simple: kids can be bosses too.

Every girl on that stage had a different passion, but they all shared the same message: believe in yourself, work hard, and don’t be afraid to dream big.

Thank you for creating a space where girls can learn from one another, support one another, and see what’s possible when they believe in themselves. 💕✨

🧋✨A one-night-only tasting menu at , created by award-winning Chef Eva Chin in collaboration with . Every course was inspired by ingredients found in Chatime !

About 15 years ago, I made a cake for Chatime’s grand opening and attended their tea menu tastings. We got to sit with Kai, Chatime’s Product and Innovation Director. We really enjoyed listening to his recent travel stories in finding the best ingredients and inspirations. Seeing the same passion for quality and innovation all these years later was a full-circle moment.

A beautiful way to wrap up celebrate Asian Heritage Month, support Asian-founded businesses, and experience the connection between food, culture, and community.

If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend trying too!

Thank you to Chatime, Chef Eva Chin, and the YAN Dining team for this unique experience. 💜

Part 3: Cake Contest with Daddy

Ken and Ellis made it to the finals! 🎉

After earning their spot with a realistic stir-fried noodle cake in the semifinals, they had one final challenge. In front of a live audience, they had 90 minutes to create a Mother’s Day cake.

Wanting to impress the judges, Ellis chose to make one of my favorite meals from our recent trip to Vietnam… waterfall chicken with rice. Since she can’t cook it for me yet, she decided to turn it into a cake. ❤️

Ken and Ellis practiced at home. Ellis made the chicken, vegetables, and all the tiny details, while Ken carved the cake and helped cut all the fondant rice.

And as you can probably tell… Ken was very, very nervous. 😂

❤️Before the end of Asian Heritage Month, I’d love to share some of these incredible gifts that arrived in the mail and celebrate the amazing Asian founders behind them. ✨

A huge thank you to .now and for curating this thoughtful box filled with products, treats, and brands founded by talented Asian entrepreneurs across Canada.

As an Asian creator and mom raising the next generation, representation and community mean so much to me. I love discovering the stories behind the products, and this box introduced me to so many inspiring founders who are building businesses, preserving culture, and creating meaningful impact.

I could only fit 20 tags, in the last frame the brow kit is by and the flower necklace is by . ❤️✨
