If you own a dog, you know.
Dogs just do their thing. They love their walks, and their joy brings us joy. They appear to pose for photos but they’re just waiting for your next move.
Black Dog 46 x 46 is available through in Invermere BC.
I love the black silhouette of the dog. Just waiting for a cue to run ahead. 🐕‍🦺

I’m celebrating my Mother’s Day in BC with my son and his girlfriend. My three kids live all across the country from Vancouver to Toronto and Fredericton. I only get a chance to visit all 3 of them together once in a while, so I’m grateful for family weddings especially because I get to see them together and I then get to take a photo. This photo, taken 3 years ago is a treasure!
I’m proud to call myself their mom, and visits with them are amazing.

I’m also missing my own mom today 🩷

Happy Mother’s Day!!

A painting evolves through a series of ‘what if’s’. You place an object here, another there, you add a colour here, change it again and again. I typically paint with lots of colour, but this piece called for a monochromatic palette. It asked What If I paint with just black and white? Of course all my paintings start with an underpainting of red, orange or pink. So there are hints of pink poking through the background.
I love this unique piece, and it is available in my studio, but hasn’t been added yet to my website! If you’d like to see it message me!

The country roads, the colours in the fall and the shadows they cast are so inspiring. I love to be walking on days like this, and being surrounded by these elements.
The Magic Of Being Here is available at Crescent Hill Gallery in Mississauga.

I’ve got a few landscapes available for those of you who love to look at trees 🌳🌳🌳
Who else is excited to see the leaves popping out of the trees this spring? My favourite time of year because it means longer days, and summer is on its way.

If you’ve noticed, I work in many series, and this is part of my series. It’s more abstract than my other series as it’s not based on any reference but simply from my imagination. My process is to paint and react to the last shape or colour and then I add or take away. Until I feel it’s done.
They’re fun to create.
These pieces will draw you in to look at the details and layers, and can become a conversation piece.

Polite Company 24 x 24 is available in my studio.

Happy Birthday Tay!
Wishing you all the best for today and for the year ahead. From a little tiny human who stole my heart 38 years ago to now, you’ve always made me proud!

The Beaumaris Marina is an iconic landmark on Lake Muskoka where boaters can fill up on gas, rent boats and visit. Just behind the marina is an irresistible ice cream shop which I’m pretty sure is a mandatory part of the journey.
You could say this is part of my corner store series!

My aunt just celebrated her 96th birthday. Quite a young 96 year old by my standards. She lives on the lake near Huntsville all year round but spent time in Toronto this winter with my dad. We wanted to thank her for giving her time to us, and keeping my father company, so it became a joint present from the family. This painting is the view from her dock. I added the paddler as I know how much she loved to get out in her canoe in the summer.
