Tamarack trees are one of the few coniferous trees that lose their needles every fall.
This yard always gets a beautiful showering of orange needles.

And just like that, the snow is here. βοΈπ
When we wrapped the hives today, we noticed little circles of melted snow on top, a sure sign the bees are alive and keeping warm inside. Their clusters are generating enough heat to melt the snow above them. Weβve added extra insulation now so theyβll stay comfortable and protected all winter long. ππ―

One of our yards in Caledon recently got a not-so-friendly visit from a bear π» lots of damage was done to our hives.
