Registrations for this meeting close at 4:30pm on April 17th . The meeting will be hosted by DOTS ( same company that ran the SCM in March ) . The QR code will take you right to a registration page or log into the secure side of the IBEW Local 353 website .

COBT day in support of the Hammer Heads Program program . Saturday May 2 . 1pm kickoff at BMO Field . Tickets are electronic ( delivery straight to your phone ) . Thank you to all who participated in today’s Special Called Meeting on Zoom . 1026 members registered with 806 members logging in and creating voting accounts on DOTS ( Dots Connect online voting service ) . All five ballot questions passed .

Vote 1 : Carried 76.37% ( In favour 514 , opposed 159 , abstain 12 ).

Vote 1a ( Communication Sector only ) : Carried 82.14% ( In favour 23 , opposed 5 , abstain 0 ) .

Vote 2 : Carried 81.3% ( In favour 561 , opposed 129 , abstain 9 ) .

Vote 3 : Carried 82.1% ( In favour 564 , opposed 123 , abstain 11 ) .

Vote 4 Carried 75.44% ( In favour 519 , opposed 169 , abstain 11 ) .

Vote 5 : Carried 82.25% ( In favour 570 , opposed 123 , abstain 13 ) .

Another reminder to register for the online / virtual vote on your pension and health & welfare funds . The presentation with information on both funds , and a full description of the votes being conducted , are on the secure side of the website . To log on to the virtual meeting you must register by March 20th / 4:30pm . Virtual meeting will start at 8am on March 22nd .

The low rise ratification vote this evening resulted in the latest contractors offer to be rejected by the membership and triggering the start of STRIKE action .

Vote on contractors’ final offer. If the presented offer is not accepted, all low rise members will be on strike on Thursday, May 8th.
