Big energy at Cherry Beach Sound this month — we had the honor of hosting Shedeur Deion Sanders for several days of recording sessions right here in Toronto.

Known as one of football’s brightest young talents, Shedeur is making waves as a rising star in the NFL while also carving out his own path in music. The son of Hall of Famer Deion “Prime Time” Sanders, he brought the same focus, drive, and passion he shows on the field straight into the studio.

Over multiple sessions at Cherry Beach Sound, Shedeur worked on an upcoming music release that showcases his creativity and determination to excel beyond the game.

Our Toronto studio has long been a creative hub for artists, producers, and performers from around the globe. Having Shedeur in the booth is a perfect example of how sports, culture, and music collide — and we can’t wait for the world to hear what’s coming.

The newly opened Biidaasige Park — Toronto’s largest new park in a generation — has just been completed across the street from our studios. This 60-acre green space brings beautiful trails, waterfront views, and vibrant gathering areas that perfectly complement the creative energy of our neighbourhood. Surrounded by nature and creative spaces, it’s the ideal setting for artists, filmmakers, and producers who choose our facility.

We were happy to welcome rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer, J Cole to the facility to record material for an up-and-coming project.

Cole has won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Song, a Billboard Music Award for Top Rap Album, three Soul Train Music Awards, and 8 BET Hip Hop Awards. All five of his albums have been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), as well as Revenge of the Dreamers III.

He is regarded as one of the most influential rappers of his generation.

We welcomed actor Kim Coates to the facility to record ADR for an episode of Van Helsing.

Kim is best known for his role as Alexander "Tig" Trager in the FX series Sons of Anarchy and as Declan Gardiner in the Citytv series Bad Blood, as well as his recurring roles in Prison Break, Cold Case, CSI and CSI: Miami.
In this reimagining of the classic Dracula story, the world is dominated by vampires, requiring humans to work together to survive. The series centers on Vanessa Helsing, daughter of famed vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing, who wakes up after a five-year coma to discover a vampire-controlled world.

We welcomed Canadian Hip Hop artist Killy to the facility to record material for an up and coming release.

Originally from Toronto, Killy is best known for his break-out single, "Killamonjaro" which is certified Platinum by Music Canada.

Here’s a classic by Margaret Atwood that we love in honour of her recent visit to our studio!

We welcomed rapper, singer, songwriter, DJ, and record producer, FKi 1st to the facility to record some new material for an upcoming release.

FKi 1st's production has yielded 15 Gold and Platinum records, including the 5× platinum viral hit "White Iverson" by Post Malone, Iggy Azalea's "Work," Travis Porter's "Bring It Back" & "Make It Rain", the urban smash "Watch Out" by 2 Chainz, and "Pick It Up" by Famous Dex, featuring ASAP Rocky.

In 2016, FKi 1st released his own EP First Time For Everything on Mad Decent and toured with Fetty Wap, Post Malone, Justin Bieber, Diplo, and more. He was also executive producer of Post Malone's debut album Stoney that later went 3× platinum.

We were honored to welcome back Canadian poet, novelist, literary critic, essayist, inventor, teacher, and environmental activist, Margaret Atwood to the facility to record audio for an up and coming release.

Since 1961, she has published 18 books of poetry, 18 novels, 11 books of non-fiction, nine collections of short fiction, eight children's books, and two graphic novels, as well as a number
of small press editions of both poetry and fiction.

She has also won numerous awards and honors for her writing, including the Booker Prize (twice), Arthur C. Clarke Award, Governor Generals Award, Franz Kafka Prize, and
the National Book Critics and PEN Center USA Lifetime Achievement Awards.
