"This time last year, I felt as if I had lost basically everything I had to loose. I had lost myself. However, through Renascent I was able to gain useful tools to not only stay sober, but to also live life guided by spiritual principals.

Renascent helped me turn the little to no hope I had, into a flourishing life surrounded by loved ones, impactful moments, and a committment to bettering myself. Never could I have imagined my life would take such a great turn for the better. None of the blessings, provisions or gifts I have today would be possible without Renascent House.

For this I am forever grateful and look forward to fulfilling my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual responsibilites!"

🛑MYTH: Addiction is a moral failing or a lack of willpower.

✅TRUTH: Addiction is a chronic disease that affects the brain, not a reflection of someone’s character.

Glen Adams, Manager of Renascent’s Client Care Access and Engagement Centre, explains why addiction is a health condition and not a personal weakness. The right support can help people begin their recovery journey.

For many years, Unifor Canada has been a valued supporter of Renascent’s mission to help save lives through compassionate addiction and mental health care.

A special thank you to Unifor for generously hosting the breakfast for our Road to Recovery Walk/Run participants at Unifor Local 222 in Oshawa. Your support helped create a warm and welcoming start to a meaningful day of community, connection, and recovery.

We are grateful for our partnership and the difference it makes in the lives of those we serve. Community partners like Unifor help make recovery possible for more people and families across Ontario.

We can’t wait to see you at Recovery Shot 2026!

Last weekend, alumni, families, staff, supporters, and community members came together to celebrate recovery, raise awareness, and support life-changing addiction treatment at Renascent.

Every step taken represented hope. Every conversation helped break down stigma. And every dollar raised will help more people access the care and support they need to begin their recovery journey.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve already surpassed our $15,000 fundraising goal. But there’s still time to make an impact.

If you haven’t had a chance to donate, please consider supporting Renascent Foundation today. Your gift helps bridge the gap between government funding and the true cost of providing compassionate, high-quality addiction treatment and recovery support.

Together, we’re helping more people find hope, healing, and recovery. Your support helps us work toward our vision of future where every person impacted by addiction can rebuild hope, healing, and connection.

When Michael L. first walked through Renascent’s doors as a client, he worried that he wouldn’t be accepted for who he is. Instead, he found a community where he felt welcomed, respected, and supported. Today, Michael is an Addictions Counsellor in Renascent’s Continuing Care program, helping others find hope and connection in recovery.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the diversity of our staff, clients, and recovery community. We are grateful for the unique perspectives, lived experiences, and compassion that strengthen our work and help create a space where everyone belongs.

Cynthia was one of over 50 people who walked to make a difference.

Thank you to all the walkers, runners, volunteers, and supporters who joined Renascent’s 7th annual Road to Recovery Walk/Run!

There are many reasons why people walk, but one thing unites us: the desire to help others recover from addiction. Every step yesterday was a powerful step toward hope and healing. 💙

Thanks to you, we’re ensuring no one is turned away from life-saving treatment at Renascent due to financial barriers. Every dollar supports the Renascent Foundation and bridges the gap in care funding.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you!

📷 There's an incredible story behind this photo.

Last year, Sharon (second on left) travelled from Florida in gratitude to join her family in walking for the care that helped save her son Donovan’s (middle) life.

“Thanks to Renascent, Donovan has his life back,” she says. “And we have him back, too.”
Whether you’ve been personally impacted by addiction or want to support recovery in your community, every step helps bring hope and healing to individuals and families."

We can't wait to walk again with our community of alumni and supporters on Saturday, May 30!
