Big love to all the crew that have contributed to the Stereo Ferment brew of 2025!
To all the producers, DJs, VJs, props builders, event team, venues, bookers and dancers we value all the love and labour you have sent our way.
This year has been a bit of a rollercoaster, filled with meaningful milestones and important lessons. We were able to achieve so much of what we set out to do because of your involvement. At the same time, we took on a little more than we could chew and are taking some time over the winter to rest and recharge.
We’ll be back in 2026 with fresh energy and more fermented goodness. Thanks for being part of the journey.

🪇Indigenous Afro-Latin Vinyl Mix 🪇- we have a really special guest mix this month coming from celebrated Nicaraguan-Canadian composer, producer, and musician Brandon Miguel Valdivia, aka Mas Aya!Available to stream on the YouTube and SoundCloud pages.
Over the past twenty years Valdivia has emerged as one of the most prolific and respected musicians in Canada. He is well known for his contributions to groups such as Not The Wind, Not The Flag, Picastro, The Cosmic Range, I Have Eaten The City, and alongside the GRAMMY Award-nominated Lido Pimienta. In addition to these projects Valdivia has also been heard alongside the likes of Laraaji, Bomba Estéreo, Tanya Tagaq, Sook-Yin Lee, U.S. Girls, Aidan Baker, Anthony Braxton, Michael Snow, John Oswald, and as remixer for Run The Jewels. He has toured widely as both an accompanist and soloist throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, Latin America, and China.
Brandon’s mix notes:
“I wanted to keep it super traditional and roots. All the tracks are from vinyl and are from all over Latin America: Honduras, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, Nicaragua, Panama etc … I like to play these types of music in a DJ set to have a different but still lit vibe and give voices to this traditional indigenous, afro- Latin music!”
