Maple Leaf Dog Training

Stella proving hard work pays off - she is staying in her place with a major distraction....ringing the doorbell. Such a good girl!!!

Meet Athena - when she first started training with us she had some pretty severe dog aggression. After lots of hard work by her owner, she is now doing a sit with focus from a distance, off leash WITH other dogs in the neighborhood around. We are so proud of their progress!

This is Triton and his owner proofing their training skills at the local Home Depot. Always make sure your dog knows his commands inside AND outside of the house!

Meet Steve - a rambunctious 8 month old English Bulldog. He had no manners when we met him, he was also very rough with the kids in the house. Now take a look at him laying calmly in a down stay with kids and other distractions around him. He is on his way to being a calm, more enjoyed member of the family!

This is Zeek - a Carin Terrier. His owner called us because he was very leash aggressive with other dogs. Here he is doing a focus exercise with his owner around other dogs!!! Great work Zeek and family :)

Look at George, Henry and Stella being so well behaved while their mom cooks dinner! Training always pays off, especially when you have a multi dog household :)

Meet Teddy the Bernedoodle! He has been driving his family crazy with his uncontrollable behavior: jumping, leash pulling, digging, barking and he has no manners or impulse control. Here he is at his first session showing so much focus, and control - his owners are thrilled!

Remember Ari? Here she is taking a nap after one of her training sessions. We are so thrilled with her progress, her next training sessions will include outside distractions! Wooohoo!

Lulu is well worked and tired after her first lesson with us! She needs some basic obedience training, especially with their leash behaviors and their manners with guests. Remember, mental stimulation is SO important for dogs, they will be much happier when they have a "job", especially working breeds like Lulu here. This prevents dogs from having behavior problems, like anxiety and aggression, it also keeps them out of trouble :)

Bindi is a 1.5 yr. old Boxer/Pit X. Her owner called because she gets reactive on the leash with dogs around their home, would fence fight with the neighbor dogs and was also getting a lot of “time outs” at dog daycare. She was also a bit fearful, shy and skittish around other people and tended to be protective.

Seen here practicing her focus exercises, she has made so much progress in her training. Her owner now says, “Bindi is doing really well. She is a lot of fun and joy to have around.”

Meet Theo - he is a 3 yr. old Goldendoodle. He was leash reactive, and very dominant with other dogs he knew and didn't know. He had no basic manners in his home and would often run and jump on visitors. Here he is practicing staying calm in his place with visitors. Good boy Theo!
