~ A scary story 👻 ~ An Update On Taylor Made’s Shopify Payment System.
On friday jan 9 I received a notice from Shopify that my main payment account had been disabled
~
While Shopify has made big shifts in supporting *gardening* businesses, unfortunately the major banks that power their payment platforms have not
~
My business is tiny and I have been lucky to fly under the raidar since starting in 2016
~
So what happens now?
At least for now Taylor Made’s website and shop is still up and accepting payments via Pay Pal :)

E-traansfers are also an option - simply DM or email me at [email protected] to set up an order :)
~
There are third party payment platforms that specialize in the *gardening* industry and other “high risk” products :/
~
It may take me a hot min to research options that are affordable at my current scale
~
This is not entirely unexpected. Its undoubtably a bummer, but there are a number of quiet obstacles that effect *gardening* businesses
~
grant funding, banking, marketing (like meta ads), sales platforms and even events, all have major restrictions making a business like Taylor Made just that much harder to get off the ground
~
Running a business isn’t easy, this is a hurtle just like any other :)
~

Very last day at hosted at the wonderful on Queen Street w in Toronto. It’s been a blast and there’s still time to say hi from from 11-6 with a low sensory hour for the first hour! Some of my absolute favourite artists are at this show, the talent level is stellar and it’s been so fun!

A classic pipe in a new form. Round and modern but slip cast and hand painted and touched with gold. Its unglazed bottom sits flat on a surface. With an ample bowl and a carb hole, this pipe’s approachable design makes a it perfect gift.

They are making their debut along with the bubblers and ashtray at today and Sunday 10-5 and will launch online next week ✨✨✨

Pride is celebrated in July here presumably so we can wear crop tops and not freeze in June weather! (?) I don’t often participate in corporate pride but the tucked away, spontaneous and radical corners of q***r community and every great outfit I pass on the street hold me in community year round! The classic ~some~hitter cigarillo p1pe got a revamp and redesign in the process of switching from hand sculpting to slip casting clay. To accommodate the deeper bowl this p1pe is made in two pieces that are joined while the clay is still leather hard. Its a little extra work but well worth it for a little extra room for your greenery.

**I cannot take credit for the term some-hitter but its perfect and I can't remember who in the industry coined it.
