We’ve been working on a very cool project the last little bit and it’s finally time to share. Mid December 2021 - Mid to End of March 2022

Job Description:

Monitors and regulates recreational skating activities.
Ensures a safe skating environment.
Directs, monitors and controls access to the program and/or facility.
Takes action to deal with incidents, accidents, problems and emergencies, as outlined in the safety and emergency policies and procedures guidelines.
Interacts with staff and participants.
Participates in the planning and implementation of special events.
Attends and participates in meetings and training sessions.
Daily ice flooding and repair (will be trained)
Regulates the provincial guidelines on Covid-19 practices and procedures
Validates that each participant entering the ice has signed their online waiver and has purchased their ticket for use.
Communicate with operations and maintenance to ensure a clean and sanitized environment
Communicate with police, fire or EMS in the event of an emergency

Qualifications:

16 years of age or older
Comfortable speaking on a loudspeaker for announcements and emergency notifications
Vehicle access is a + but not mandatory
First Aid and CPR is mandatory (will send for training if not already qualified)
Basic skating skill is a + but not mandatory
