A little Slovenia, a little Croatia, a little Italy.

I love the summer. For the sun and the food. Fresh tomatoes and basil, dressed with olive oil and flaky salt laid over a cloud of whipped ricotta. All I’m going to be eating until September 👌🏾

It’s a mango matcha kind of summer. It wasn’t my favourite matcha mix but I’m happy I tried it. Sometimes you gotta drink with your eyes.

Shooting food is way harder than I thought. I figured it would come naturally, but the styling, contrast, composition—yeah, not so much. It’s been a challenge, but I’m learning.

This last one? Pistachio tiramisu. Maybe it’s my Arab roots (according to my mom, I’m 1/16th Turkish or Saudi—depends on the week), but I stand by this: pistachio makes everything better. 💚

My sister and I once had a cookie baking competition. She’s the baker in the family, but my competitive side? Yeah… I wasn’t going down without a fight.

I lost. 😔 Not because my cookies weren’t good—but because I accidentally baked them with some cork I forgot in the oven. 🤦🏾‍♂️

That defeat still haunts me, but in the long run, it pushed me to perfect my cookie recipe. I know, “perfect” is subjective—but this? This is exactly how I love them.

These past couple years in Paris have been tricky. I lost my creative spirit, lost my smile, kind of lost myself. But that’s changed this year and I’ve found a new way to explore photography. Through the thing I’ve loved since I was a kid: food. Anyway, the pancakes I made the other day, created some photos too. 💛
