Driving is always an issue for family members when loved ones are diagnosed. It’s a brutal fine line. In my experience I asked my father’s family doctor to discuss this with my father . An appointed was arranged for a thorough driving test that involved a physiotherapist, driving instructors and questions. My father failed. While we listened to the professionals I knew he was devastated. On the drive home I reminded him that he was protecting people especially younger children. Pulled the grandchild card. He untold and accepted the decision.

Remove yourself as a carer from these decisions and reach out to professionals.
