দেশে থাকাকালীন যে দুইবার ভোট দেয়ার জন্য কেন্দ্রে গেছিলাম, সেই দুইবারই কেরীকেচাল হইছে। আর এইবার কি সুন্দর ভোট দিয়া দিলাম।

আর হ্যা - গনভোটে আপনার ভোট হ্যা তেই দেয়া উচিত।

In severe winter conditions, the environment itself becomes the primary challenge. Temperatures can fall to −30°C or lower, with wind chills that cut through even the most advanced cold-weather gear. Blizzards reduce visibility to near zero, transforming familiar terrain into a white void where navigation relies on compass discipline, GPS backups, and constant situational awareness. Snowdrifts hide hazards beneath their surface, while frozen lakes and rivers require expert judgment to cross safely.

Preparation is the cornerstone of survival. Expedition teams must rely on layered thermal clothing, insulated boots rated for extreme cold, and windproof outer shells. Frostbite and hypothermia are ever-present threats, making regular checks of exposed skin and strict hydration routines essential—even when thirst is suppressed by the cold. Nutrition shifts toward high-calorie, energy-dense foods to fuel the body’s constant fight against heat loss.

Logistics in Canadian winter expeditions are equally demanding. Equipment failure becomes more likely as batteries drain rapidly and mechanical parts stiffen or crack in extreme cold. Tents must be engineered to withstand heavy snowfall and powerful winds, while camp setup often takes twice the usual effort due to frozen ground and limited daylight hours. Fire-starting, a basic skill elsewhere, becomes a critical survival task requiring redundancy and patience.

Yet, amid these harsh realities, the Canadian winter reveals a rare and profound beauty. The silence of snow-covered forests, the glow of the northern sky, and the sense of isolation create moments of deep reflection and humility. Every successful day on such an expedition is earned through teamwork, adaptability, and respect for nature’s power.

A severe winter expedition in Canada ultimately teaches one defining lesson: the cold does not forgive mistakes. Success depends not on conquering the environment, but on understanding it—moving carefully, planning meticulously, and knowing when to advance and when to stop.

শুনলাম বাংলাদেশে নাকি অনেকগুলা মটোরবাইকার গ্রুপ একিভুত হয়ে নতুন একটা গ্রুপ খুলেছে HCRz? মানে হোল চাটা রাইডারস।

এদের নাকি কাজ হচ্ছে কম্পানীর কর্মকর্তাদের হোল চাটা এবং ফেসবুকে হোলচাটা ছবি সহ পজিটিভ পোষ্ট দেয়া।

যাক নতুন কিছু লোকের জিহ্ববা এর কাজ মিলল, কর্মসংস্থানের সৃষ্টি হলো।

HCRz মানে হোল চাটা রাইডারস এর সকল মেম্বার্সদেরকে আমার হোল এর অন্তর্স্থল থেকে আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা ও অভিনন্দন।

Legacy — সময়ের সাথে গড়ে ওঠা এক উত্তরাধিকার

মেলাদিন পর আজ মনটা অদ্ভুতভাবে ভালো।

একজন ভদ্রলোক ফোন করেছিলেন—বললেন, তাঁর ছেলে এখন ২২ বছরের, মোটরবাইক কিনবে, কিছু পরামর্শ চান।

কথাটা সাধারণ মনে হলেও, এর পেছনের গল্পটা একদমই সাধারণ নয়।

২০১৩ সালের দিকে এই ভদ্রলোকই আমার কাছে একবার অনুরোধ করেছিলেন, যেন আমি তাঁকে আমার সাথে একবার রাইডে নিয়ে যাই।

তখন তাঁর ছেলের বয়স মাত্র ৭ বছর।

বেশকিছু রাইডে ব্যাগ গুছিয়ে রেডি হয়ে আসলেও আমি তাঁকে রাইডে নিতে পারিনি—কারণ, তাঁর কাছে হেলমেট ও সেফটি কিট ছিল না।

সেই সময় থেকেই আমার ও BDMotorcyclist (BDM) এর সবচেয়ে কঠোর নিয়ম ছিল — “No Safety, No Ride.”

সেফটি কখনোই আপোষযোগ্য নয় — এটাই ছিল আমাদের বিশ্বাস।

কিন্তু তিনি থেমে যাননি।
পরে মালয়েশিয়া থেকে Alpinestars জ্যাকেট আর LS2 হেলমেট এনে অবশেষে আমার সাথে একসাথে একটি ট্যুর দিয়েছিলেন।

আজ, এত বছর পর, সেই একই মানুষ যখন তাঁর ছেলের জন্য মোটরবাইকের পরামর্শ নিতে ফোন দিলেন—মনটা অজান্তেই ভরে উঠল।

ভাবলাম, আজকের এই ২০-২২ বছরের তরুণেরা হয়তো আমাকে বা BDM-কে চেনে না,

কিন্তু তাদের বাবারা জানে আমরা কারা ছিলাম,
আর কীভাবে এক সময় একদল মানুষ “নিরাপদ রাইডিং” কে একটি সংস্কৃতিতে পরিণত করেছিলাম।

এটাই আসলে Legacy —

যেখানে নাম নয়, নীতি টিকে থাকে;
সময় পেরিয়ে সম্পর্ক নয়, মূল্যবোধ বেঁচে থাকে।
