Join us for workshop led by Aly Keita of Kira Arts, with dance participation by Fodé Bamba Camara and live percussion accompaniment.

OPEN TO ALL, this open-level workshop will focus on the foundations of movement: grounding, posture, breathing, coordination, and the relationship between body and rhythm. Through guided exercises and movement explorations, participants will be invited to develop a deeper awareness of movement, breath, and musicality while discovering the richness of the physical dynamics found in Guinean dances.

The workshop will also explore the connection between voice, rhythm, and gesture, as well as the body’s ability to articulate different energies and layers of movement simultaneously.

In December 2021, dance Immersion hosted the Legacy Tap Dance Symposium, a powerful three-day experience that brought together artists and participants
across generations and from around the world to learn, share, dance, and
perform together in celebration of the legacy of Tap Dance. ✨

Almost four years later, the impact of this gathering continues to live on. We are
incredibly grateful to Artistic Directors Lisa La Touche and Travis Knights
for their vision and leadership in bringing this symposium to life.

Her speech will cover "Building Our Infrastructure for the Revolution", within the Conference's theme, "Bodies of Knowledge, Movements of Change: ACB Movement Systems for Personal, Communal, and National Development".
