Life’s daily challenges and expectations often dampen our minds and bodies but pressure also brings resilience.Through music and movement we’ll embark on a journey from tension to transformation. Cheers to our amazing volunteers!
Singing Out is a volunteer-run organization, and we want to take a moment to say a big THANK YOU to all of our volunteers during this National Volunteer Week!
We are so grateful for the time, talents, and energy that volunteers bring to our choir. From volunteering throughout the term, to cabaret and concert days, on the board or committees or stepping up as needed, doing work behind the scenes and more visibly... the list goes on and on! Volunteers are at the heart of what we do, and we couldn't function without them!
Our incredible volunteers are a mix of singing members, non-singing members, and community members, and each one brings and does so much to help us further our mission of Pride, Music, and Belonging.
Thank you, everyone!

Today is Trans Day of Visibility. Making Trans Excellence and Joy visible is part of our mission every day.
Our Trans and Non-Binary Ensemble shine at our shows and at performances across the city. Check out our Trans Non-Binary Ensemble playlist (link in bio)
It's more important than ever that this visibility be paired with allyship and protection. We stand together with our trans members to demand equal rights, protections and freedoms and call on our amazing audiences to do the same. From writing letters of support, donating to mutual aid and organized supports, and having conversations with loved ones - interrupting transphobia and misinformation - every bit matters and makes a difference.

March Break Community Social
Come join us on Thursday March 19 for our March Break social. We're doing open mic and Karaoke. We are going acoustic unplugged for open mic so bring your guitar, ukulele, kazoo or whatever and perform a song for us! (Update: sorry we won’t have the piano and amp). If you want to try cabaret next year and feel you’re not quite ready yet, this is an opportunity for you to get some performance experience. No auditions, no memorization required. Don’t play an instrument? We got that covered too! As long as you can find a karaoke track on YouTube.
The theme is “Break”:
March break vacation, heartbreak and breakups, or life is really rough right now I'm having a breakdown. Or whatever you want.
Date: Thursday March 19, 6:30-9 pm
Location: Regent Park Community Centre, 402 Shuter St, Community Multipurpose Room
This evening is for members, friends, volunteers and waitlisters.
Please fill out this RSVP form to help us plan for how many folks to expect.

Photo dump Part Three. We promise this is the last one… probably.
Two shows. One sold-out house. So many iconic moments from Freaks and Gleeks! Thank you to everyone who helped bring this weird, wonderful cabaret to life and to everyone who came out to support live q***r performance. We couldn't have done it without you! Make sure you keep an eye on our socials for more news about our trip to the Unison Festival and our upcoming Pride show this June - we'll see you there!

Photo dump Part Two. And yes, we are still riding the high from Freaks and Gleeks! (Who knows if we'll ever stop?)
From chaotic theatre kid energy to big emotional moments and everything in between, these shows were such a joy to share. Huge thanks to our incredible performers, volunteers, and the audience who showed up ready to celebrate loud, proud, and fully themselves.
