Been ruminating on D’Angelo since the news of his passing. His musical DNA is in everything I do – the way I write, think about grooves and approach production in general. “Voodoo” took a few listens but eventually it changed everything about what I thought music could be.
Gone too soon. Rest in power.
New song… I call it “Pashmina” — stay warm even when your cool. As per usual these tunes just come out of nowhere
