Slowly working through that creative block…

Of all investor funds, the share given to women is not only tiny, but it’s decreasing. We have seen over the last week that is an uphill battle at the best of times.
How can we be there as partners for female founders? How do we break this? How do we get more women past the gate into the portfolio?
Let us know your thoughts.

Bart Simpson was doing the Bartman. I was riding my neon bike down the street, proudly wearing an armload of snap bracelets and fluorescent bike shorts. Plans were managed on paper. Ah, 1990.
Skateboard deck based off of a 1990 Pocket Calendar. Swiss 721 BT Black No. 2 is the font, friends. A classic.
What era should the next deck be from?

There’s nothing like completing a deck for a client — so to celebrate, I took the box of Bellaire Ribbon Mates I found hidden away in an old desk and turned it into a skate deck.
I had been staring at it for weeks. This was its calling. a nod to my all-time favourite challenge.
Beautiful typography, subtle illustration – nothing will be able to properly express how creamy and lovely that gold tone is on the box.
Fonts used: Clarendon, Essones, Microsystems, Trade Gothic – timeless, classic pairings.
Beautiful midcentury packaging design brought back to life.
Burroughs Business Machines. Toronto, Ontario. – Circa 1950.

As we go back to in-person pitches, remember: a one-hour meeting isn’t open season to talk for an hour.
Intros to start? Ten minutes.
Q&A? Another ten.
Insert some time for interruptions, tangents, and mid-meeting questions, and you have 25 minutes to present.
Are you using your time wisely?

Just hit B, and black that screen out faster than you can say “oh dear god just a second I’m so sorry let me just… oh god”

If you have heard this term and aren’t quite sure what it is, a little due diligence will help you decide whether it’s the kind of client for you.
The work is awesome, if not super complex.
is happening in person. was our last live event. I found this little video while working on our 2020 reel.
Nothing beats the feeling of the moment when the house opens. The culminating moment when all of the team’s hard work comes together. In the pocket.
This moment is when I am so excited for each person to experience what we have planned for them.
Absolutely nothing feels like this and I can’t wait to get back to it.

Coming into the 10th year as an RGD.
Proud to see how far we as an organization have come, and proud to have served on our ethics committee. and crew have been a champion for all of us like a team of Valkyrie.
I highly recommend designers consider joining, to help further the industry and their education.
Now onto the next sets of stickers, but first I need a new card 🤓
Found a... 12 year-old classic, back when the pens had your direct line on them 😂
