GamesCon is a 3 day super duper LAN Party for PC and Console Gamers occurring yearly in Toronto, Canada.

After 25 years of being gone, we are coming back to our original format of LAN events starting in 2026 for our 30th Anniversary in Toronto, Canada.

We are hopeful to announce something soon, but in the meantime, here's a bit of a clue.

Hello GamesCon friends,

I'm writing to share an important update regarding GamesCon, originally scheduled for June 13-15. We've made the difficult decision to postpone the event to September/October.

This wasn't an easy call, but we want to ensure GamesCon is an outstanding experience, and the additional time is crucial for several key improvements. Upgrading the venue's internet infrastructure is one such critical task, as Beanfield requires eight weeks to complete the upgrade. While that timeline aligns with the original dates, we prefer a buffer to avoid any last-minute complications.

We had initially aimed for June 13-15 to coincide with Toronto Games Week, and we're committed to making that happen next year. Events of this scale involve numerous interconnected crucial elements:

* Venue and Dates
* Internet Infrastructure
* LAN Equipment
* Community Awareness
* and many other logistical considerations

Given these factors, we don't believe we can deliver an event that meets your expectations—or, more importantly, our own—on the original dates.

We are now focused on securing new dates. We're pleased with our current venue and hope to finalize the details soon, while still planning for 500 attendees. The biggest hurdles we faced were securing the right location (which took six months) and arranging the necessary internet upgrades (four to five months). Finding a reliable LAN equipment partner was also challenging, especially after a previous commitment fell through just eight weeks ago.

As my old mentor Dave Perry wisely told me during our GamesCon days in the '90s, "It's better to push an event back than put on one that is not going to be perfect." That philosophy has guided me throughout my career in the gaming industry, and that's why we're committed to making the right call here.

Ideally, we'd like to schedule the event after the release of GTA 6, so you can enjoy the full co-op experience, as well as after the release of Borderlands 4 in September.

Your input on potential dates is invaluable to us, so please share any thoughts or preferences you may have.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support. We're excited to hit the reset button and deliver an event that lives up to your expectations.

With much love,

Sincerely,

Mark Chandler

If you see anyone saying that we are looking for Vendors for our event and to message them directly for a quote in any of the comments sections, THEY ARE TRYING TO SCAM YOU!

You would only see something like that here on our main page if we were doing that, and we are not doing that for our first event anyways.

I am sorry to see these scum in our comments and didn't notice them till now. My apologies for not catching them sooner.

Thanks kindly,

Things are moving along nicely, we should be able to start selling tickets in the early New Year.

We will get the content on the website soon, but for now, this is going to be our main outlet for information on GamesCon 2025.

Happy Holidays to one and all and we look forward to seeing you all in June next year.

We have a location and dates!

But we are working on the net connection and some other logistics still before we start to open up ticket sales.

Dates are currently June 13-15th, 2025. We are only going to be selling 250 tickets to start off with, then we will be adding another trenche of 50 tickets after that, and then another 50 again, and so on.

The location can hold 1500 LAN attendees, but we are taking this very seriously and conservatively to make sure we don't jump into the deep end first and bite off more than we can chew.

It's better to have a smaller smoother well organized event than one that is larger and too much to handle for our first event in 25 years.

We need your help in figuring out how much space will we need for our upcoming LAN Party (PC and Consoles) next June here in Toronto.

Does a LAN Party appeal to you?

Have you ever been to one before?

How many days would you attend one? Typically we did them from Friday afternoon to Midnight, all day Saturday, 9:00am to 12:00am, and 9:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday?

I can get the majority of those answers later on, the most important question is if you are interested in attending it?

Hit the like button if you are interested coming to it please. That would really help us out.
🙂

Here's a video of what they used to be like when we were doing this 25+ years ago.
