We’re excited to bring “Camping Royale” —in both official languages 🇨🇦— and “Les moutons”, to old and new places this summer. Somehow, the grass only gets greener everywhere we go!

L’été est là et ce n’est pas le moment de rater nos reines ni nos moutons —attention, ils sont rapides! 🐑👑
C’est avec plaisir que nous emmenons en tournée “Camping Royal” —présenté dans nos deux langues officielles 🇨🇦— et “Les moutons”, vers des pâturages connus et méconnus… Mais, tous fantastiques sans aucun doute! Alors, un merci chaleureux à tous nos programmateurs: le Festival DANSEncore, le Marché de Dufferin Grove, la ville de Longueuil, le Festival International de Théâtre de Keochang, et le Moulin Jaune 🙏

C’est fou ce qu’on peut faire avec une clarinette, quatre peignoirs, et un abat-jour… 🛋️
Ainsi s’achèvent deux belles semaines de résidence, après avoir connu un superbe succès lors d’une représentation inédite à Bournazel (France) vendredi passé.
Comme à l’habitude de CORPUS, “Living Room” (titre temporaire) comprend une pluie de tableaux vivants, des costumes judicieusement pensés, un panel de musiques surprenantes, et bien sûr une bonne dose d’interactions loufoques.

That’s a wrap for a beautiful two weeks of residency and a lovely show with the local audience of Bournazel (France) last Friday.
As per CORPUS’s best practices, “Living Room” (working title) features a diversity of tableaux vivants, evocative costumes, a surprising blend of music and, of course, a bucket-full of audience interactions!

Notre Directeur artistique David Danzon chapeaute cette belle équipe locale de danseurs-interprètes du sud de la France, afin de transposer cette performance d’ordinaire de salon intérieur en spectacle de rue.☀️

A warm welcome to Maud, David, Bérangère and Violette as they embark for a 2-week artistic residency, furthering the development of our latest creation and work-in-progress, Living Room. 🛋️
Artistic Director David Danzon collaborates with this local team of performers from the South of France, in the aim to create a street theatre version of this indoor show.☀️
So let’s wish them a great residency, full of research and creativity! 🧠

🎭 « Socialement, politiquement, le théâtre n’a jamais été aussi important et vital pour notre
compréhension de nous-mêmes et du monde », déclare notre ambassadeur international M. Willem Dafoe, en célébration de la Journée Mondiale du Théâtre, ce vendredi 27 mars.
💡Pour CORPUS, le théâtre est une communion entre public et interprètes: c’est inviter le spectateur à se laisser illusionner, flouter les limites du réel, et réinventer le possible sous mille et une formes.
« C’est finalement dans le spectacle que je me sens utile », nous écrit notre directeur artistique David Danzon.

🎭 “Socially, politically, theatre has never been so important and vital to our understanding of ourselves and the world,” announces our 2026 International Ambassador Mr. Willem Dafoe, in celebration of the World Theatre Day, happening this Friday, March 27th.
💡For CORPUS, theatre is like a communion between audience and performers: it’s about letting each party play and be played, blur the lines between reality and imagination, and reinvent the present in a thousand ways.
“In the end, it is by creating performances that I feel most useful. I find solace in watching smiles and inquisitive glances from audiences,” confesses Artistic Director David Danzon in our upcoming Season review.

Five years ago, in the quiet and uncertainty of 2020, a small flock of singing sheep stepped onto front lawns and porches to bring a little light to Toronto. What began as a simple gesture of joy has blossomed into a beloved annual tradition — one that now fills our city’s markets, neighbourhoods, and winter festivals with song.

As we celebrate five years of the Alpine Merry Sheep Choir, we’re feeling nostalgic and grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey.

If you were one of the families whose lawn we visited in 2020, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out and share any photos or videos you may have from those early porch concerts.

Here’s to five years of woolly wonder… and many more to come. 💛🐑✨

Il y a cinq ans, dans le calme et l’incertitude de 2020, un petit troupeau de moutons chanteurs s’est aventuré sur les perrons et les pelouses de Toronto pour y apporter un peu de lumière. Ce qui n’était au départ qu’un simple geste de joie s’est épanoui en une tradition annuelle chérie — une tradition qui remplit désormais les marchés, les quartiers et les festivals d’hiver de notre ville de chants festifs.

Alors que nous célébrons les cinq ans du Chœur Alpin des Joyeux Moutons, nous sommes empreints de nostalgie et de gratitude envers toutes les personnes qui ont fait partie de cette aventure.

Si vous faites partie des familles dont nous avons visité la pelouse en 2020, nous serions ravis d’avoir de vos nouvelles. N’hésitez pas à nous envoyer vos photos ou vidéos de ces premiers concerts de perron.
