If you believe in magic as I do, there is no limit to what this painting, and staring at it daily, may bring to this new artist. Have I mentioned it is never just about the art? Trust me. It’s so much more.
This is the second project in a week between Shelly Haber X Nancy Macdonald | ART SCHOOL and we have run into each other almost every day in that time. It’s like we were always meant to be friends. It’s always about more than just art.

How do you keep your light? It is a struggle, no question. Spend out. Be better to those closest to you than mere acquaintances. Fill the buckets that serve you. Stand porter at the gates of your soul. Watch who and what you let in with a vigilance. See people in their highest. Do the extra bit. Remember happiness is not altogether the goal, that releases the pressure. Make beauty. Notice. Slow down to speed up. Lean in. Lean out. Challenge yourself. Lead with kindness ( that is so often repeated it sounds canned but it packs everything). Life is fascinating is the best thing to say to yourself when it is all too much. That is all I’ve got.
