Don't force your cables in!
The contacts have been pushed out the back of the port as seen in this repair, which requires a full teardown to fix.

As I always say, I'll attempt to fix anything electrical!
In this instance, a dying 10 year old controller (costly to replace), successfully revived with new components. Now it's ready for many more years! 🎮

Testing some dead fans, while the silence might be nice the computer wont last long in this state! Best case, it works but very slowly as the computer struggles to handle the heat.
In this case a friends computer needed the fan replaced. Once installed the computer instantly returned to full speed!

Very clean looking gaming computer hiding bad dust build up, cleaned up and running much better in game! Dust can cause thermal throttling that'll slow everything down!
