Spring is here and Snakes (my barn cat) just had kittens! I went from no cats to two barn cats to four in a very short period of time. Chalk it up to country living, I guess.
Also, SHOWS!
I’m playing a Love Riot show with friends this Saturday, May 2nd at and then I play the main stage at Lot Party on June 6th with some incredible artists, check the poster.

New songs, old friends, community love in.
Quietly building and writing and shovelling snow in the woods. Taking a break to sing my favourite song off my favourite record of this year so far, ’s ‘Laughter In Summer’.
Also, coming back to Toronto in April if anyone wants to hug or play a show together.

A year of homesteading in the woods on an island on the ocean. Thought you might enjoy a look at what’s been keeping me busy over the past year.

Happy 80th, Uncle Neil! You’ve given us so much. Thank you. Eternally grateful for all you’ve taught me as an artist and how you’ve inspired my writing and craft. You were therapy before I had a therapist. You made me want to chase a dream. You made me want to fight for something and write about it.
I was going to post me singing something but this will always be the one. Me and Kai on his 8th birthday singing ‘Helpless’. Another generation of Neil fans.

I met Lucy at our kids elementary school cross country meet (not knowing how much of a musical badass and highly acclaimed songwriter she was). Though our children didn’t win the race, we bonded over our love of song and the fact that we both moved to PEI from away Lucy’s from the UK.
