40 Tons of Saffron Harvested This Year in Afghanistan!

According to the Afghanistan Saffron Workers Association, the country produced 40 tons of saffron this year, compared to 30 tons last year. Saffron worth $40 million was exported to the U.S., Europe, China, India, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Afghanistan ranks as the second-largest saffron producer globally, following Iran, and has consistently held the top position in quality standards for several years.
