Celebrating the Success of the Together End Racism in Toronto (TERT) Campaign!
On April 26, 2025, the Bangladeshi Canadian Community Services (BCS) office was filled with excitement and energy as over 56 youth leaders and 15 community members gathered to celebrate the impactful Together End Racism in Toronto (TERT) Campaign. The event, held from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM, marked a significant milestone in the campaign’s journey toward combating racism and promoting social justice in Toronto.
The celebration was emceed by the dynamic trio Urbi Khan, Khansa Ashraf, and Anuva Hasan, members of the Together End Racism Campaign Team at BCS. The event kicked off with a meaningful land acknowledgment, honoring the traditional custodians of the land. Following that, Urbi and Anuva delivered an insightful presentation on the campaign’s purpose, milestones, and the incredible progress made in the fight against racism in Toronto.
Dr. Nasima Akter, Executive Director of BCS, congratulated all the youth community animators and participants for their unwavering commitment and hard work in the campaign. She also extended her heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hasan for his mentorship and support throughout the initiative.
The event agenda included:
