This year, we’re on a mission to make an impact. 100% of proceeds from every Karthigaipoo pin sold will go toward supporting a grassroots charity that provides direct aid to those in need back home. Our goal: sell 1,000 pins to raise $10,000.

Over five years ago, I embarked on this incredible journey as a passion project, and little did I know it would flourish into the full-fledged business it is today. The name ‘Freedom 83’ isn’t just a random combination of words – it’s deeply rooted in my personal history. It’s an abbreviation of ‘Finding Freedom Since 1983’, marking the year my parents courageously left Sri Lanka. But our brand isn’t just about me; it’s about honouring, the struggles and sacrifices of families like mine who sought refuge and faced the challenges of war. Our journey has been one of evolution and growth. We’ve refined our brand identity, moving from our original logo inspired by Tamil Eelam to a sleeker design that resonates with a wider audience.
