Now this is the kind of housing news Toronto needs.

Through the Co-operative Housing Development Program, the Canadian government is investing $137 million to support The Cedars South Tower in Scarborough Village. The 21-storey tower will bring 245 co-op rental homes to Scarborough Village that are secure, below market and rent controlled.

When complete, The Cedars will bring nearly 800 homes, including attainable homeownership housing, along with vibrant public spaces and a strong sense of belonging to Scarborough. We’re excited to get building.
