Canadian Landscape Fine Art Painter I'm an engineer by education. Back in 2004 after 30 years I was looking for a change and went out on my own consulting.
A seminar series lit the idea and I picked up a project out of town. Living in a hotel for about a year, 5 nights a week I started painting smaller works at night. After talking it over with the family I was off in a new direction. My first show was in June of 2005. I do about 15 shows and fairs each year and am presently in 5 galleries. In 2004, after over 30 years in engineering and plant management, I picked up an out-of-town project and started painting in the hotel room at night. I honed my focus through workshops and participated in 100+ juried art shows, fairs and gallery events.
Working in oils with bold palette knife techniques and rich colour, I draw from personal photographs and memories to create dynamic, textured landscape paintings that invite the viewer to explore.

My goal is to capture the movement, energy and emotions connected to a place, transforming it into something that resonates with the viewer's own memories and dreams.
Working primarily in oils, I use personal photos and vivd recollections as source material. Bold palette knife work creates substantial texture, contrast and dynamic skies that breathe life into each piece.
A collector once described my work as "Emotive Realism" which perfectly encapsulates the way the work connects on a personal and emotional level.
