Where ideas take shape, colour comes alive and texture tells a story.

At our Brussels studio, rug designs are explored through swatches and samples, where gradients, patterns and forms are tested and refined to ensure every detail translates perfectly from concept to finished piece.

Each sample is a study in material, colour and composition, a quiet step in creating rugs meant to be experienced over time.

Colour shifts through texture and depth.

Rust, clay and cream shift across varying pile heights and woven structures, where light reveals the quiet details within each construction. What reads as a gradient from afar becomes a study in texture, material and depth up close. A reminder that in rug design, colour is never flat, it’s built through technique.

Art Day gave us space to explore colour and layers. With watercolours in hand, we experimented with washes, tones and overlapping pigments, letting the process guide our creativity.

These moments of playful exploration often inspire ideas that carry through into our designs.

Before a rug is made, it’s imagined, tested and refined.

These small-scale pieces allow us to explore colour, texture and pattern before bringing a design to life. They’re essential tools that guide decisions on yarns, pile heights and finishes, ensuring every rug reflects the original vision while performing beautifully in real spaces.

From initial swatches to the final piece, the custom process is a careful balance of creativity, craft and collaboration.

A study in depth and texture.

An up-close look at a handloomed sample reveals a checkered pattern, where plush raised squares meet recessed woven sections to create depth and dimension. Crafted by skilled weavers using traditional handloom techniques, each row is built with care, loop by loop, height by height, resulting in a rug that feels warm and tactile.

A soft and quiet presence.

Created in collaboration with Douglas Design Studio, our custom dining room rug anchors the space with quiet elegance. Handtufted in Thailand from 100% wool, its subtle geometric pattern and soft texture bring warmth to this private residence, harmonizing effortlessly with the home’s curated design.

Art Day invited us to pause our usual pace and gather around materials with curiosity.

Through multi-medium collage using paper and paint, we explored texture and composition, allowing instinct and experimentation to guide the process. These unstructured creative moments often plant the seeds for ideas that resurface later in our work.

Cento Cedar pieces itself together block by block, edge by edge, like a garment shaped by memory.

Rooted in the Latin for patchwork garment, the design carries its meaning through texture rather than colour. A neutral palette gives way to rhythm, as loop and cut piles create subtle movement without weight.

Every rug has a story and in our Storytelling Collection, that begins with Canadian artists.

From initial sketches to handtufted and handknotted pieces across Nepal, Thailand and Afghanistan, each rug celebrates the artwork it interprets while honouring the artisans who bring it to life. Part of the proceeds from each rug go back to the original artist, supporting the creators behind the designs.

The collection is growing with new collaborations and designs. Stay tuned for more to come.
