Helping women racquet-sport athletes become calm competitors
What’s the first thing you do after a mistake?
Do you:
• Shake your head?
• Rush?
• Say “sorry” to your partner?
• Replay it in your mind?
• Try to hit harder on the next ball?
That automatic reaction is conditioning.
And it often creates the spiral — not the error.
If you want calmer tennis, start by noticing the behavior after the mistake.
So tell me… what’s yours?
Quick honesty check.
What’s your first thought after a double fault?
Not the polite version.
The real one.
For many women it’s something like:
“I knew I’d miss.”
“Why can’t I fix this?”
“This is embarrassing.”
That split-second thought isn’t harmless.
It shifts your body.
Your breathing.
Your confidence.
And it usually snowballs into the next point.
Drop your honest first thought below. No judgment.
Let’s normalize this conversation.
Let’s settle this…
I’m curious.
Do you play better in practice — or in actual matches?
So many women tell me:
“I hit great in drills. Then I fall apart when it counts.”
That gap isn’t about ability.
It’s about what happens internally when the score starts to matter.
Comment one word:
Practice
or
Matches
Let’s see where most women land.
Follow for calm confidence tennis — without the heavy intensity.
Okay ladies… this one might divide us.
Would you rather win ugly…
Push. Slice. Scramble. Survive.
Or lose looking smooth and technically solid?
Because here’s the truth:
At some point in competitive play, you stop playing for aesthetics.
You start playing for resilience.
So which one are you choosing?
Ugly win
or
Pretty loss?
No judging. Just curious. 👇
Okay ladies… which do you secretly trust more?
Forehand or backhand?
The shot you step into confidently…
Or the one you hope doesn’t get exposed?
We all have one that feels like home.
I’ve noticed something interesting:
Your “favorite” shot usually says a lot about your personality on court.
So tell me…
Team Forehand
or
Team Backhand?
No overthinking. Just answer.
And bonus: Which one holds up better under match pressure?
What boosts your confidence on court?

RIP Nick. You made a huge contribution to the game. It was great to meet and talk with you many moons ago.
It's one-on-one out there, man. There ain't no hiding. I can't pass the ball. ~Pete Sampras
