Take a few moments to READ this....
I've been studying purpose for the past few years.
Not only from books or theories—but from REAL people, REAL believers, REAL struggles.
I surveyed 60 believers, in one sample, with one simple question:
"Do you know your purpose?"
The results stunned me:
📊 48% said YES
📊 48% said NOT SURE
📊 5% said NO
But here's where it gets interesting...
When I asked those who said "YES" to DESCRIBE their purpose, here's what I heard:
- "Helping people"
- "Spreading the word of God"
- "Serving God faithfully"
- "Proclaiming the gospel"
- "Serving and helping others"
Do you see the problem?
THESE AREN'T PURPOSES. THEY'RE PLATITUDES.
They're vague. Generic. Could apply to literally anyone.
This is why we're losing the battle.
- You can't walk in a purpose you can't define.
- You can't fulfill an assignment you can't articulate.
- You can't hit a target you can't see.
Here's the other finding that broke my heart:
When I asked, "How important is discovering or developing your purpose to you?"
- 44% said EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
- 31% said VERY IMPORTANT
- 20% said IMPORTANT
**Translation:** 95% of believers say purpose matters to them.
But only 48% think they know what theirs is.
And of that 48%, most can't describe it with any clarity.
**This is the gap that's keeping the body of Christ stuck.**
On Tuesday night, I'm going to close that gap.

Not vague. Not generic. Not a platitude.
