Today is September 4, World Sexual Health Day! 🤟🩷

This year’s theme is “Every Body.”

I want to take this opportunity to talk about why sexual health information is important for Deaf people in our community.

Everyone deserves clear, accurate, and accessible sexual health information and healthcare.

Deaf people should feel comfortable asking questions and getting the communication support they need.

Let’s continue to learn, talk openly, and support each other without judgment.

Remember:

Your choices matter.

Hi everyone! 👋

My name is Alexandrose (William)

September is Deaf Awareness Month,

and I wanted to take this opportunity to talk about my work with the Deaf Outreach Program.

For me, Deaf Awareness Month is an important time to celebrate our Deaf community, our language, our culture, and our experiences.

It is also a chance to talk about accessibility and making sure Deaf people have equal access to important information and services.

Through my work with the Deaf Outreach Program, I connect with members of the Deaf community and help share information, resources, and support.

One of the things that is especially important to me is making health information more accessible to Deaf people.

Sometimes Deaf people can face barriers when trying to access health services or information. Communication access is very important.

Deaf people deserve to receive information in a way that is clear, accessible, and comfortable for them.

During Deaf Awareness Month, I want to encourage our community to ask questions, learn about available resources, and take care of your health.

I am proud to do this work and to be part of the Deaf community.

My name is Alexandrose (William) I am from Deaf Outreach Program.

I want to invite you to a (DOP) Deaf Outreach Program social event.

Date: June 27.
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Allen Gardens Park, Toronto.

This year, DOP will not have a booth at Pride Toronto StreetFair.

We registered for a booth, but all booth spaces were already full. We have been on the waiting list for several months.

Because of this, DOP decided to host a small social gathering at Allen Gardens Park.

Please come and join us. It will be a chance to meet people, socialize, and celebrate Pride together.

The Deaf Outreach Program (DOP) is pleased to share an upcoming Pride Month event hosted by Inkloosiv Voices, Toronto's LGBTQIA+ Gospel & R&B Choir.

✨ Born To Be Alive: An Inkloosiv Voices Pride Party

📍 The Concert Hall, 888 Yonge Street, Toronto

This event will feature ASL interpretation by Alma Amorim and Rogue Benjamin, making the performance accessible for Deaf and hard-of-hearing community members.

Join an evening of uplifting gospel, R&B, dance music, and Pride celebration, followed by an after-party with guest DJs. Inkloosiv Voices is committed to creating an inclusive space where everyone is welcome.
