🗡️ THE TOMB: RAIDERS OF THE SWORD - RevoEscape (🇨🇦 Scarborough, ON)

We played at RevoEscape in Toronto, which offers three unique escape games: THE LAB: LOCKDOWN (80 minutes), BUNKER: AI'S MARTYRDOM (80 minutes), and their latest and most ambitious room, THE TOMB: RAIDERS OF THE SWORD (100 minutes). What truly sets these games apart from traditional escape rooms is the focus on creativity and teamwork - players must tackle both physical and technical challenges, often finding that there are multiple ways to solve a problem.

The Tomb stands out as the most immersive and physically demanding of the three. Safety gear like helmets and knee pads are required (with arm guards and gloves optional), which makes sense given the need to crawl, climb, and navigate the impressive set. Each player wears a wrist messenger that delivers personalized updates - such as losing a life for making a mistake - which adds an extra layer of excitement and immersion.

The puzzles in The Tomb are challenging and varied, ensuring that everyone in our group of four was constantly engaged. The set design is visually stunning and clearly crafted with attention to detail. We did end up taking a bit longer than the allotted 100 minutes, simply because there was so much to do and explore.

The grand finale was absolutely spectacular! Out of the 14 escape rooms I’ve played in Ontario, Raiders of the Sword is (probably) my personal favorite. If you’re looking for an escape room experience that goes beyond the ordinary and truly tests your teamwork and problem-solving skills, I highly recommend giving RevoEscape a try.
