There is something special about seeing generations of families come together year after year at Mooredale's , making memories over midway rides and Webers burgers at Rosedale Park.
Our tutoring team is proud to be an annual sponsor. Check out our pictures capturing this iconic Toronto tradition and the 80th anniversary of the city’s longest-running neighbourhood fair!

Behind every dress, every smile, and every special moment at the 2026 Corsage Project Boutique Ball is a community that truly cares.

Teachers on Call is proud to support The Corsage Project, started by our Founder, Rhona Sallay, and led today by our President & CEO, Joanne Sallay, as Volunteer Chair. This non-profit program, in partnership with the Children's Aid Foundation of Canada, helps financially deserving Grade 12 students celebrate the educational milestone of prom with confidence and pride.

26 years later, the mission remains just as meaningful. We are grateful to everyone who helped bring this unforgettable weekend to life and to the Teachers on Call community for continuing to support the belief that education changes lives.

What we read in April

Our Hooked on Books series kept us turning pages all month long. Here’s a look at four standout reads we featured in April:

Salma Speaks Up by Danny Ramadan
City of Lost Cats by Tanya Lloyd Kyi
The Great Dinosaur Sleepover by Linda Bailey
Death by Whoopee Cushion by Vicki Grant

Thank you to these authors, their publishers, and the Ontario Library Association for supporting young readers and a love of literacy.

Read more about each of these books—and our full author interviews—on our website through the Hooked on Books series https://bit.ly/hookedbooks.

And stay tuned as we continue working through more of our reading list!

Family Day feels especially meaningful this year.

Teachers on Call is a family business that began more than 40 years ago, and its growth has only been possible because of the families, students, teachers, and partners who have trusted us along the way. We are honoured to share our story in The Globe and Mail and grateful to the community that has grown alongside us.

Learning doesn’t stop after the school bell, and the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto is the ultimate student field trip experience.

That’s why we are proud to share an educational interview with the team behind the Canadian International AutoShow about how it brings learning to life, combining hands-on experiences, STEM connections, and play-based fun for students of all ages. From the Hot Wheels art installation to the life-size pink LEGO Cadillac, the AutoShow shows how play, creativity, and innovation can inspire future careers in engineering, design, technology, and business.

As luck would have it, Opening Day coincides with a PA Day for many Ontario school boards this Friday, February 13, 2026, a perfect chance for families to explore learning together outside the classroom.
