Lots of fun making "Spinner Tops" with Washi Tape this week with a group of 33 students. It was cool to see how the colours and shapes changed when spinning.

It was a joy this season to teach a group of Gr.2-Gr. 8 kids the deep meaning of Advent. Children were led through action and movement created to introduce the theme and teach in a memorable way. Followed by a special Nativity Craft making time. Each child went home with an Advent Countdown to help them remember the Hope, Peace, Joy and Love of the season. It was so fun to see these young minds interested in the teaching and craft.

Giving Dr. Martins Bombay Inks a try. Not sure if I really like the way they hit the paper but they are archival grade.

Plasticine Illustration. Youth created pictures with plasticine of “God Sightings.” Their own expressions of where they visibly see God. Illustrations included sunsets, people, landscapes, tornadoes and a wolf pack in the hunt.
