Fluff Dog Wellness Spa
We love clean dogs at Fluff Dog Wellness Spa. Who doesnβt? Fluff takes care of all that for you.
Wrestling your dog into the tub at home and then having her shake and spray water all over your bathroom, while amusing, is not most dog parents' idea of a great time.

When it comes to dog breeds, there are important things you need to know and be prepared for before you go out and get a new four-legged friend. One of those important things is knowing if the breed you're getting has fur or hair. It makes a huge difference in knowing how to properly take care of your new friend.
Hair and fur are made up of the same thing--keratin. Keratin is also found in nails and skin. Hair and fur have different textures, growth cycles, and need to be groomed appropriately.
Fur typically sheds year-round, where the hair follicles release the old to produce new growth. This means that the growth cycle is shorter, so the hair can come back thicker in the colder months. This doubly applies to dogs with a double coat who were bred to be in the coldest of climates. This means that they need to be groomed and brushed regularly to promote a healthy skin and coat. Dogs with fur benefit from a diet rich in omegas, fatty acids, and proteins.
Hair on a dog is usually smoother and finer than fur, tends to be longer as it does not stop growing, and typically does not shed. Because of the texture, the hair tends to form matts and get tangled a lot easier, especially in dogs who form curly hair. If they do potentially shed it gets tangled in their hair and forms matts easier. Dogs with hair typically need to be groomed every 4-6 weeks.
