We're so excited to be a part of Tarragon Theatre's first Greenhouse Festival!
Our final group of Artists for the upcoming Greenhouse Festival?
BadFox Collective! BadFox Performance
BadFox creates work using shadow puppetry, overhead projectors, movement, and original composition and sound design to create immersive, sensory experiences. Their new project, MASS EXODUS, is a fairy tale set on a decaying planet, where our hero must decide: escape and save themselves, or stay behind and tend to what remains on their world.
BadFox Performance is the creative entity of Amelia McCarthy Blaine , who founded the group in 2016 in their East York backyard. Since then, BadFox has always kept the thread of craftiness, nature, and spontaneity at its core. Having presented plays, concerts, and readings, this is BadFox’s first mixed-media piece.
For Greenhouse the collective also includes Sienna Singh .sienna, Sara Jarvie Clarke , and Devin Flynn !
Clear your calendars to join us in early 2023 for the Festival, running from Jan 2nd - Jan 15th, 2023!
Greenhouse Festival Passes will be available for purchase in Late September.

Hello fellow creatures! It's been a minute since we were active on the ol' book of faces, a global pandemic will do that to a person. Well it's been a quiet couple of years for us, but that isn't to say we haven't been doing stuff! Amelia (me, in case you were wondering) has been busy with puppets, shadows, creatures and songs, and we're excited to share some tidbits that have kept us occupied over the many months!
Tidbit the first! 'Mass Exodus' (ooohhhh, Latin! How mysterious...)
A shadow-puppetry piece that is a feast for the senses. A young worker in a not-so-distant future does their part to save the planet, or so the Supreme Executive Officer tells them. They start to question things when all the creatures of the area begin to flee suddenly. They are torn from what they knew as they plunge into the unknown, to discover the truth behind the shiny lies and find out what kind of world they want to help rebuild.
Mass Exodus is about the climate, it is about capitalism, and it is, like all things, about hope.
Mass Exodus-Mockup This video is a mockup of the elements to be explored in BadFox Performance's new theatre piece: Mass Exodus. Music by Devlin Flynn, Shadow puppetry, overhead…

Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Skulk on Friday! Thanks to all of our amazing and courageous performers, to Might and Main for graciously hosting us, and of course to everyone who came out. This was our first concert and it will not be the last!
