Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we honour the First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples who have cared for these lands for generations.
It’s a day to celebrate Indigenous cultures, knowledge, leadership and resilience. It’s also a day to reflect on the ongoing impacts of colonization and the work still needed to advance reconciliation.
At Prosper Canada, we recognize that financial well-being is deeply connected to equity, dignity, self-determination and access to opportunity.
We remain committed to listening, learning and supporting work that helps build a more just future for Indigenous Peoples and communities.

"I sit on the Board of Prosper Canada because I believe access to financial knowledge and tools should be available to everyone.
Financial stress can quickly limit people’s options. It shows up in everyday decisions and trade-offs. When people have clear, practical tools and support, they are better able to manage their finances and plan ahead.
This is why the work at Prosper Canada matters. It focuses on helping people build financial stability in a practical way, especially those facing the most barriers. Over time, this kind of support helps people move from getting by to feeling more secure.
When more people in our communities are financially stable, the impact goes beyond individuals. It strengthens families and contributes to a stronger, more resilient Canada!
I’m proud to support this work and to be part of the Board. If you’re able, consider donating or sharing this with your network. Every bit helps expand access to tools and support that make a real difference." — Prosper Canada Board member Anukul Sharma

"I know firsthand what it’s like to live in poverty: to stand in line at food banks, of exhausting myself working two jobs to make rent, and carrying the crushing anxiety of every unexpected expense," says Prosper Canada Board Member SM Sansouci. "Prosper Canada’s creative tools like the Benefits Wayfinder puts money back into the pockets of Canadians with low and moderate income. That kind of support can be life changing—and supporting Prosper Canada means helping ensure more people can move from surviving to living with dignity and stability."
