Trinity College Rural Residency Association

The Trinity College Rural Residency Association, referred to colloquially as the TCRRA, aims to provide a welcoming environment to Trinity students that have rural roots. Although TCRRA membership will be open to all Members of College, the primary goal of the club will be to ease the difficult transition between country living and city life. As a result, the club’s events, meetings, and social outings will be oriented towards students that are familiar with life in non-urban areas. This in mind, we are also putting a large amount of importance on events that highlight life outside of the city. Students who move to the city often still have interests in their roots, and miss many aspects of rural life. Agriculture, livestock, and outdoor activities are all things that Members of College lose touch with when moving to Toronto; we serve to help reconnect.The TCRRA also stands to end the negative stigmas associated with small towns (i.e. the belief that all small town folk are hillbillies,or uncultured). This means exposing people who have lived in an urban environment to diverse aspects of rural and small town life.
