EP Lettering

🌿 WORKSHOP: Calligraphy for Calm 🌿
Kate's Garden
Saturday October 3, 11AM

Join me at Kate's Garden for a morning of mindful lettering among the flowers. In this workshop, we'll use a brush pen to practice simple calligraphy strokes and words that encourage you to slow down, relax, and enjoy the creative process. This isn't a traditional calligraphy class—there's no pressure to perfect every letter. Instead, we'll focus on the gentle, repetitive movements of the pen as a way to create a sense of calm. At the end of the session, you'll use what you've practiced to hand-letter a short mantra to take home as a meaningful reminder of your time spent creating.

I'm not sure I've shared this project in full but it's one I absolutely loved from beginning to end. My friends Sakura of America sent me one of their A4 notebooks and asked me to fill a two-page spread.

I'm not often asked to work with lined notebooks, but I couldn't resist filling these pages with the poetry of Christina Rossetti. It's one of the longer pieces I've worked on and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. ❤️
