At Freedom City, we believe supporting mental health is just as important as physical health.
We offer several support groups that foster engagement, social support and encouragement to our community. These spaces open weekly on Fridays, and provide a place for participants to express themselves in a safe environment.

We wanted to take the time to thank our volunteers who assist with outreach and programming.

They are responsible for handing out goods during outreach and assisting with events wherever they can. We could not operate in the capacity that we can today without our volunteers.

Freedom Fest Makes a Difference 🙌

Since the inception of Freedom City, we have dedicated ourselves to making a difference in the St James Community. In just 2 years, we have provided 2 million pounds of food to communities across the GTA, with about 4,000 individuals being provided for weekly.

With the help of sponsors and donations, we are able to host Freedom Fest, one of our largest summer events dedicated to giving back to the community. Tons of clothing and essential items are given away to those who need it. The impact is significant, as many now have access to items they did not previously have.

Last weekend we wrapped up our fundraiser dinner!

The evening was filled with good food, amazing conversation, and speakers who elevated the night’s atmosphere with their speeches. With the support and contributions from our amazing community and partners, we are on track to reach our fundraising goal.

We want to thank everyone for their attendance and contributions to our organization. We also want to thank all the volunteers for their time and effort in putting together the event and making it the best that it can be.
