We’re bringing "When We Forgive" to The University Club of Toronto.

Join us for When We Forgive: An Evening of Storytelling, Recovery & Healing—an intimate conversation exploring forgiveness not as an abstract idea, but as lived experience.

Moderated by Heather Chappell and Zoe Kachan, hosts of Girl, Undrunk, this evening will feature authors from When We Forgive:

Tabitha Rose, Founder & Publisher, Life to Paper Publishing
Jacques V. Leroux
Dr. Vera Ingrid Tarman
Adam Kunder

Together, we’ll explore what it means to forgive others, forgive ourselves, seek forgiveness, and begin releasing what we have carried for too long—through stories of addiction, recovery, trauma, family dynamics, identity, and healing.

We’re not just publishing books.

We’re creating something that lives on shelves—and in people—for a long time.

Anyone can put a book into the world.

Very few create something that continues to matter years later.

That’s the standard.

To build books people return to.

Books people recommend.

Books that quietly change someone.

That’s the work.

“You can love the addict but hate the disease. Being able to separate the two is hard, but it can save your sanity.”

We are profoundly moved to welcome Diane Cohen to the Life to Paper family. Diane’s upcoming memoir is a raw, journal-based account of her 18-year journey navigating a spouse’s opioid addiction. It isn’t a how-to guide; it’s a “horror love story” that documents her transformation through cycles of hope, relapse, and ultimate loss.

From handling her own battle with cancer to raising two daughters amidst the chaos, Diane’s story is a testament to the fact that while we cannot control the addiction of those we love, we can choose our own path of inner growth and faith.

Stay with us as we help Diane bear witness to this complex, beautiful, and heartbreaking reality.

We’re honoured to share that “I Feel Real Guilty” by Jane Epstein has been named a Silver Winner in the Memoir & Personal Journey category at the 2026 Nautilus Book Awards.

This recognition means even more knowing the calibre of books submitted from around the world—and because of what this memoir represents.

Jane wrote this book with extraordinary courage, honesty, and care. I Feel Real Guilty gives voice to an experience so many people carry in silence, and reminds readers that shame does not belong to survivors.

At Life to Paper, we believe stories told truthfully can create change. This book is a powerful example of that.

Congratulations, Jane. We are so proud to publish your work and grateful to see this important memoir recognized in such a meaningful way 💜
