The Gallery exhibition Artists In Exile: is now over. It was a success due to the efforts and talents of many peeps !
First of all, Thank you SO much to Andy and Ally Allison Kamino at Scrim4Rent Gallery for so generously providing the gallery space. You are both truly compassionate humans and your generosity gave our incredible 5 artists a two-week showcase to show the world their art. Not only that, but it also created a space for conversation about Tibet, it's unique , rich culture and the urgency for awareness and action to restore Tibet to it's own self-determination. We are so grateful to you both for this opportunity :)
Thank you Ally for helping the artists to frame their work and for taking the gorgeous artists portraits!
Thank you Andy for facilitating the hanging of the flags, for putting the heat on each day and for making us feel welcome in the neighbourhood!
Thank you to Sonam C. Rito for bringing the artists together in such a tight time frame, for helping with the prints, for pulling together the Opening! Amazing job on all counts, and all the while National Directing SFT Canada and studying, and travelling, and, and...!
Thank you to you Lodoe Laura , Rignam Wangkhang , Tenzin Tsering Chözang , Tenzin Rabyang and Nawang Nagoomi Datok for providing us with your incredibly engaging artwork at such short notice! The feedback was positive and there were countless discussions inspired by your images. We look forward to collaborating more in the near future to explore ideas that we discussed over the course of this exhibition and evolve this series further.
Tenzing Gaychey , Thank You so much for putting the poster together, for taking photos at the opening and for taking care of transporting the precious goods back to SFT.
Thank You Brian G. Smith for providing us with a computer for video playback when we were in a pinch.
Congratulations All!
Tashi Delek!

The colourful 'Journey Flags' being installed here by Larry, Geoff, and Andrea were originally created for the first installment of Artists In Exile "Tibetans of Toronto Arts And Culture Festival" that took place Sept 17-24, 2015 at Artscape Youngplace in Toronto, CAN.
The flags represent the arduous journey of the first installments' five artists from Tibet, on foot through the Himalayan mountains into Nepal, India, and eventually to Toronto.
