A difficult psychological experience doesn’t always mean something has gone wrong.
Sometimes, uncomfortable emotions, sensations, memories, or thoughts are simply part of what is coming to the surface. The instinct can be to push them away, make them stop, or immediately search for an explanation. But resistance can sometimes make the experience feel even more overwhelming.
Creating a sense of safety changes the relationship we have with what we’re feeling. Grounding in the body, slowing the breath, noticing sensations without judgment, and having the right support can create enough space to stay present without being consumed by the experience.
The goal isn’t always to make discomfort disappear.
Sometimes, it’s learning that you can stay with what arises, and that you don’t have to fight every feeling in order to feel safe.
Awareness. Grounding. Compassion. Integration.
These can be just as important as the experience itself.
I know a lot of people can understand what I'm talking about, and I'm not talking about distant aunt, uncles or cousins....I'm talking about the heavy hitters. The one you'll need to take care of if anything happens or the one you need to drop everything and run to when they're in need. Yup, the ones you would die for but living around them feels like a slow tortured death, lol. Le sigh. It's not easy to navigate sometimes. This is where we have to accept them for who they are and stop expecting something different from them. This is where you have to pull up your adult socks and admit to yourself that the way you participate with them is a part of the problem. This is where you do the thing that is necessary for you to create healthy distance, ground rules, and an emotional firewall.
Because let’s be honest, expecting them to suddenly change after all these years is just setting yourself up for heartbreak. The shift has to come from you. It means stopping the endless cycles of arguing, letting go of the need for their approval, and learning to say "no" without drowning in guilt.
You can still be the person who drops everything in an emergency. You can still love them fiercely from a safe distance. But you also have to love yourself enough to survive the everyday reality of them. Pulling up your adult socks means realizing that cultivating peace isn't selfish, and nor does it just happen. You have to action it consistently.

This pottery journey began in grief. It began as a to put my pain. A quiet space where my hands could keep moving when my heart felt heavy. Where clay could hold what words could not.
What I didn't know then was that grief would become a teacher. That clay would become a teacher. That the same hands shaping vessels would also be reshaped in the process.
Now, every piece that leaves my studio carries a story. Not just mine, but the stories of the people who welcome them into their homes. Morning coffees. Bedtime teas. Gatherings around a table. Moments of stillness between busy days.
With patience, presence, and care, even the things that break us open can become something beautiful.
Maybe that's what pottery has been teaching me all along.

When people describe a feeling that "the weight I've carried for years has finally lifted," it's likely not because one part of the brain has healed. Instead, it's the result of:
- Reduced fear signaling from the amygdala.
- Decreased rigid self-referential processing in the default mode network.
- Increased communication between brain regions that don't typically interact as freely.
- A temporary increase in neuroplasticity, making it easier for the brain to establish healthier emotional and cognitive patterns.
From a holistic perspective, the brain and body are deeply interconnected. Trauma is not only stored as a narrative but also reflected in patterns of muscle tension, autonomic nervous system activation, breathing, posture, and physiological responses. When those neurological changes occur during a supported psilocybin experience, many people report a simultaneous sense of physical release, such as deeper breathing, relaxation, emotional expression, or a profound feeling of ligh
Inspired by the rhythms of nature, ancient traditions of craftsmanship, and the rituals that ground us, each piece is an invitation to slow down and reconnect. To notice the beauty in the everyday. To find presence in simple moments.
Every curve, texture, and finish reflects a journey. One that honours both the natural world and the hands that shape it. Imperfect, intentional, and deeply human.
This is more than pottery. It's a reminder that even the smallest rituals can become sacred.

“Just let it go.”
If only it were that simple.
Letting go isn't about forgetting, suppressing, or forcing yourself to move on. Sometimes, it begins with allowing yourself to actually acknowledge what you're carrying.
Through therapeutic work, including psilocybin-assisted therapy, there can be space to approach difficult thoughts and emotions with curiosity rather than resistance.
You don't always have to push something away to move forward.
Sometimes, it's about not holding on so tightly.
Before an energetics session, one of the most important things to remember is that there is no “right” way to experience it.
Every session can feel different. You may notice emotions, memories, sensations, movement, stillness, shifts in energy or you may not notice much at all. None of it means you’re doing it wrong.
You don’t have to force an emotional release, chase a sensation, or make something happen. Let the experience unfold at its own pace, while staying connected to your breath, body, and sense of safety.
Your body may also respond in unexpected ways. You might feel warmth, tingling, shaking, heaviness, lightness, emotion, or simply a deep sense of stillness. These responses can vary from one session to the next.
There is no experience you’re supposed to have.
Come with curiosity rather than ex
