A heartbreaking day for filmmakers and fans around the world. Today marks the passing of one of the most influential and legendary artists of all time, filmmaker David Lynch, at the age of 78.

Your films will continue to inspire many, and your philosophy and principles of what it means to create and be an artist will forever guide others toward success.

One of the most memorable things I observed in Lynch was not just the bizarre brilliance of his films, but how his cast and crew spoke about their collaboration with him. Lynch taught me that one of the greatest achievements a filmmaker can aim for is having a team speak fondly of their collaboration with you, long after production has wrapped. A film is only as good as the people and friendships that helped bring it to life.
