A publicly owned company, myPhone Inc., specializing in the production of cellular phone accessories, has filed a $1,200,000 lawsuit against its main competitor claiming patent infringement. This is one of several patent-related lawsuits that myPhone has filed against its competitors. Management believes that the probability that the lawsuit will be successful is less than 5%.
