Nesting northern map turtle (species at risk of special concern),

Map turtles are at risk as a result of shoreline habitat disturbance, habitat degradation, nesting site disruption and habitat loss. It is important to give nesting turtles lots of space, please give nesting turtles at least 20 feet while briefing observing so as not to disrupt nesting.

Since 1978 Sudbury has focused on renaturalizing and regreening what was once a vast treeless toxic environment and now, after planting more than 10 million trees within the Sudbury area, the natural environment in Sudbury is restoring and reinstating it’s healthy natural systems with increasing more wildlife and biodiversity.
