“Don’t Count The Days, Make The Days Count.”

I try to live a life that reflects these words… words that continue to resonate through the incredible impact Muhammad Ali made, not only on the sport of boxing, but through his lasting contributions to his community, both in and outside the ring.

By offering a program for Lloyd, Mike and others affected by Parkinson’s, I hope to inspire consistency, connection and confidence. Our team is learning just as much from their resilience as they gain from the training. This program is not only about fighting back against a disease, it’s about showing up together, creating space for movement and dignity, and celebrating every small win earned by a group of individuals who continue to remind us what strength really looks like.

Special thank you to my program partners Patricia Else and Rob Gorican for bringing the program to life!

“We need to give back more than we take from the sport.”

Ryan Savage’s words from his Boxing Canada Hall of Fame induction hit home this weekend. Watching both Ryan and my mentor, Roland Labbé, being honoured reinforced something I hold close: we all have the capacity, and the responsibility, to leave this sport stronger than when we entered it.

This past week marked a meaningful milestone in my boxing journey, and I’m genuinely grateful for it. Moments like these remind me that while boxing may be one of the most individual sports, none of us progress alone. It’s the people around us, the coaches, officials, volunteers, organizers, who lift the sport and each other.

The 2025 Boxing Canada Elite Nationals came together thanks to the leadership of Boxing Manitoba and the dedication of volunteers who live and breathe this sport. The athletes, coaches, and officials delivered boxing at its best, and I’m truly thankful to have played a small role in that success. Serving as Technical Delegate at my first Canadian National Championship was a responsibility that once felt intimidating on paper, but in practice became a privilege because of the incredible team I had the honour to work alongside.

An incredible few days surrounded by coaches and athletes dedicated to the future of boxing.

The U23 High Performance Camp brought together some of the most passionate and committed minds in our sport — all focused on developing the next generation of athletes and strengthening the foundation of boxing worldwide.

It’s always a privilege to share knowledge, exchange perspectives, and continue learning alongside people who care deeply about elevating our sport — in and out of the ring. 🥊

A huge shout-out to our Family and the incredible community who stepped in without hesitation. In just 24 hours, we’ve cleared most of the water and started turning a tough situation into a comeback story.

We’re working hard to have Norseman open again as early as Monday — stronger and more ready than ever to welcome you back.

These aren’t just boxing skills — they’re life skills.

This summer, 22 incredible young athletes showed up for our Kingsway Boxing Youth Development Camp. And what they took home was so much more than just technique. They learned how to face pressure, lift each other up, and keep pushing, even when it’s hard.

That kind of growth… that kind of heart… it’s what this sport is really about.

Huge love to our KBC crew who poured so much into this camp; Nolan, Cam, Lincoln, Acacia, Kobe, Aekon, Jerry, Nina, Amanda, Kat… you’re helping build something real. Not just boxers, but strong, confident humans.

Next Camp Aug. 11-15

Still catching my breath after what was one of the most powerful nights I’ve ever experienced.

To our fighters—you are the soul of this movement. You trained for months (some of you years), stepped into that ring, and put your bodies on the line for something far bigger than yourselves. You fought with heart, with purpose, and with a fire that inspires real change. I’m so damn proud of every one of you.

To our sponsors, guests, and volunteers…thank you. You helped bring this vision to life. Your support fuels the fight, and your presence reminds us that we’re never in this alone.

This isn’t just an event—it’s a movement. And together, we’re getting closer to ending cancer in our lifetime.

📸 Thank you to our incredible photographers for capturing the heart and soul of the Fight To End Cancer .photo
