Stephen Mallinder "Pow Wow" 2LP/CD reissue - Last copies!
After sending the majority of our these 2LPs off to join the recent Cabaret Voltaire UK reunion shows, where they were available to purchase at the merch table, we are now offering our remaining EU stock for sale at the Suction EU Shop. We also have a few copies left of the CD edition. Act fast - we're down to just a few copies of these now...
Deluxe reissue of Stephen Mallinder's debut solo album, "Pow Wow". The Cabaret Voltaire co-founder and front man's 1982 solo LP has been expanded with inclusion of the "Temperature Drop" 12-inch.

Excellent new review of Analytica's "Strategy of Tension" LP, released recently via our minimal synth sublabel Ice Machine, c/o Igloo Magazine.
"These clever and cutting [social] criticisms [via the song lyrics] are all written to sparkling synthesizer melodies, the cold reality comforted by analogue warmth."
Analytica :: Strategy of Tension (Ice Machine) Their words pull no punches, they are fired with conviction and intent. Softening this directness is the composition of their songs, the rich instrumentation smoothing corners without diluting the message. An accomplished album from a political and polyphonic partnership.

“Valley Beyond” is the Suction Records label debut by Heiki, aka Toronto-based, Canadian electronic music veteran, Heiki Sillaste. Heiki first made his mark with Digital Poodle, a cult EBM project that he began in 1988. Like many EBM producers in the ‘90s, Heiki found himself losing interest in that increasingly stagnant scene, and quickly shifted his musical focus towards the emerging techno/rave/ambient scene. Over the years, he’s delved into everything from dub techno, to drum and bass, to ambient drone, but for the past few years he’s been diving deep into hardware analog electro and acid. “Valley Beyond” is the result of nearly a decade perfecting his acid/electro sound, finding Heiki at the top of his game. Highlighted by 2 rocking vocoder electro anthems, “Valley Beyond” and “Komplexobo # # #,” the 6-track vinyl EP moves seamlessly from sinister electro to funky acid, with melodic analog strings, 808 boom, and 303 squelch as constants, weaving in and out.
